Yosemite Summit Hiking Tours

Many Yosemite visitors will have the chance to see theses four peaks from a distance, but very few will every get the opportunity to look down upon this magnificent park from their summits. Our Yosemite Summit Hiking Tours give you the option to climb one of three tallest mountains in Yosemite National Park, as well as Yosemite's most famous landmark, Half Dome. The tallest peaks in Yosemite all reach an altitude of 13,000 ft or higher and these private hiking tours will give you the chance to hike up into the clouds with your own private, Yosemite hiking guide. Some hikers say it's the first step that's the hardest in hiking but we strongly believe that after you enjoy your backpackers lunch on top of Yosemite, you'll find that it's the last step that takes you off the trail, that will be the most difficult.

Half Dome is Yosemite's most iconic feature and the hike to Half Dome's summit is one for the ages. The hike starts near Curry Village in Yosemite Vally and it winds up the steep slopes of the Merced River on the John Muir Trail, past 900 ft of breath taking waterfalls. When you reach the summit, all of Yosemite Valley and it's surrounding landscape will open up for your viewing pleasure. Yosemite National Park now requires permits to summit Half Dome and so we only offer a select amount of hiking days per year.

Attempting Mt. Lyell's summit is not for the faint of heart! Along with being the highest summit in Yosemite, it is also a 28 mile round trip hike from start to finish. The first 9 miles of this hike will take you along Rafferty Creek on the famous John Muir Trail, with only 400 ft in elevation gain it is a great way to warm up your legs for the day while enjoy the beautiful, serene landscape. With our experienced hiking guides, you will hike over the last remaining glacier in Yosemite as you attempt to summit Mt. Lyell.

Don't let the title of "third tallest peak" fool you, this is still a remarkable hike that opens up amazing views of Yosemite's high country and the east side of the Sierras. The hike starts off with a gradual gain in elevation and your Yosemite mountain guide will take you over crystal clear creeks and through beautiful sub alpine forests and meadows. After awhile, you will crest a ridge and Spillway Lakes and the Kuna crest will open up for your viewing pleasure. Your journey will continue as you attempt your summit of Mt. Kuna.
