The Adventurer Package is designed for anyone that is interested in experience more than just hiking and sightseeing during their trip to Yosemite. Your private guide won't just get you up close and personal with Yosemite's postcard landmarks and vistas, they will also give you professional fly fishing and astronomy lessons. Spend one of your tour days sightseeing and fly fishing in the high country of Yosemite for wild Rainbow Trout and then spend another day learning how to ride horses like they did back in the Wild West days. One thing is for sure, the whole family will always remember the summer you caught your first wild trout on a fly rod with Yosemite Family Adventures.

Our Adventurer Package was built to make sure everyone in the family has the opportunity to create lasting memories in Yosemite. More then just sightseeing and hiking, this package includes just the right amount of adventure for the whole family to enjoy. Once you decide if our Adventurer Package is the right fit, head over to our "Package Details" section to learn more about our three "Customizing Options".
If five days isn't the perfect fit for your group, please contact our adventure coordinators to inquire about a 'Custom Package Quote" and we will create an Inclusive Package designed to meet your personal wants and needs.
​We've teamed up with rustic mountain lodges, modern hotels and private custom home rental providers in order to offer our guests three unique and wonderful vacation packages. Each lodging provider provides their own unique set of accommodations and amenities and with three different options to choose from, you can rest assured that you will find the perfect package that will exceed your desires.

ENTRY LEVEL 

Our Yosemite Falls Option gives our guests the opportunity to stay in their own private custom home or cabin located in a small California Gold Rush town. These homes are part of a quite mountain neighborhood and they are located near a private mountain lake. This option is good for larger groups or families because each custom home provides 3 to 5 bedrooms, a full service kitchen and laundry facilities are located on property.

  • All lunches for each full tour day, excluding alcohol
  • We can provide a Custom BBQ Lunch to replace one backpackers lunch if requested by guest

  • All equipment needed for hiking and sightseeing tours (Day packs, hiking poles, binoculars, sunscreen and bug repellent)

  • Nalgenes, canteens or camel packs

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 

Our El Capitan Option is hosted with the partnership of an updated lodge that has its own swimming pool and spa, newly renovated modern rooms, LCD Tv's and easy highway access to Yosemite. This lodge is located in the small town of Buck Meadows, CA and it is great for groups that are looking to lodge just 12 miles from the entrance of the park.

DAY ONE - Your private guide will pick you up at 9:00am in San Francisco, CA (If included in your desired package) or you will meet your guide at our main office at 9:00am. You will be stretching your legs in the famed Yosemite Valley by early afternoon and your family will be able to acclimate with short hikes and photo opportunities of Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls, Half Dome, El Capitan and more. 

DAY TWO - Your guide will pick you up at 9:00am. Day Two’s journey will take you up into the high country of Yosemite for an exciting day of fly fishing and hiking. Spend the day mastering the art of fly fishing on a beautiful sub-alpine lake or river and enjoy vistas of Half Dome and Cathedral Peak. After dinner, spend time viewing the rings around Saturn and Jupiter’s moons with a state of the art, tracking telescope. 

DAY THREE - Your guide will pick you up at 9:00am. Day Three’s Itinerary will have you hiking to a few forgotten and remote waterfalls on the western side of the park. Marvel at the power of Wapama Falls in the Hetch Hetchy region and rest in the sun after you enjoy a swim in the plunge pool of another backcountry waterfall in the afternoon. Beautiful views and smaller crowds await your arrival on day three of your journey.

DAY FOUR - Your guide will pick you up at 9:00am. Day Four’s adventure will take you to the Southern portion of Yosemite to enjoy a day of remarkable vistas and 360-degree hikes; as well as, horseback riding through meadows and forests. Hike to Glacier Point and experience magnificent views of Half Dome and Yosemite Falls. After your hike, experience a Wild West horseback ride through old growth forests. (Tour day ends after Horseback ride around 6 or 7pm)

DAY FIVE – Your guide will pick you up at 9:00am. Day Five’s escapades will have you resting in the shadows of ancient Giant Sequoias that live alone an old Stage Coach route that was built in the mid-1800’s. After your short morning hike that allows you to marvel at these amazing monolithic trees, you will head back to a pre-determined location so you can start your journey back home.
